TLH Recruitment is proudly representing a trusted leading Australian furniture brand based in Wacol, seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Warehouse Labourers/Forklift Operators to join their team! This opportunity is full-time ongoing, offering full-time hours Monday to Friday, shift start times from 7am. You will be joining a fantastic team, working in a warehousing distribution environment with an immediate start.

Pay rate: $38 hour plus GST

Responsibilities:

• Safety first approach to work.
• Team player.
• Hazard/Incident reporting.
• Load/unload trucks with forklifts, pallet movers or furniture trolleys.
• Follow CoR pertaining to loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Put stock away using High Reach and/or Order Pickers.
• Pick Orders using High Reach and/or Order Pickers.
• Good attention to detail.
• Periodic stock checks.
• Housekeeping.

Requirements:

• A valid Forklift licence LF Ticket
• Full-time availability
• RF experience - Manhattan ILS would be advantageous.
• Store person, warehouse, and logistics experience an advantage
• Previous experience loading/unloading trucks
• Physically fit and able to do manual tasks
• Machine operating experience
• Please note, successful candidates will be required to undergo a Criminal History Check. Prior checks conducted within 6 months accepted.

About the role

The Dispatch Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting production, warehouse, and dispatch operations to ensure the accurate handling, storage, and distribution of finished goods. This role involves operating forklifts safely, preparing orders for dispatch, maintaining inventory accuracy, performing quality and temperature checks, completing dispatch documentation, and ensuring compliance with food safety and company standards. What you'll do

• Operate forklifts and safely move, store, and load finished products.
• Support production activities, including pallet and packaging changeovers.
• Conduct product quality and label checks, including UBDs, batch codes, and product codes.
• Prepare and inspect pallets for dispatch, including wrapping and applying correct labels.
• Inspect delivery vehicles and verify product temperatures before dispatch.
• Ensure accurate dispatch quantities and report any discrepancies.
• Process dispatch orders, dockets, transfer documents, and related paperwork.
• Maintain accurate inventory, dispatch, delivery, and equipment records.
• Follow FIFO procedures and maintain clean and organized warehouse areas.
• Conduct daily forklift pre-start checks and report equipment issues.
• Prepare runsheets, production plans, dispatch plans, and product labels.
• Ensure all activities comply with food safety, workplace health and safety, and company procedures.

Qualification

• Valid Forklift License/Certification.
• Previous experience in warehouse, dispatch, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems (e.g., NetSuite) is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret dispatch plans, labels, and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of inventory control and stock rotation principles (FIFO).
• Ability to work in chilled and frozen storage environments.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle products in a physically demanding environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing, cold storage, or FMCG environments.
• Knowledge of dispatch documentation, transport labeling, and inventory management processes.
• Experience with pallet wrapping equipment and warehouse reporting procedures.
