Starting Payrate: $26/HR   Attractive work hours!   Work 36 hours per week and get paid for 40 hours per week   Dairy Farmers of America is looking for highly dependable team players to join our staff as a FORKLIFT OPERATOR at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility. The role of the Forklift Operator is to transport raw materials to where they are stored or needed for use and to transport finished goods to trailers for shipping   If you are fascinated by the process of industrial food & beverage manufacturing and are committed to supporting our reputation for excellent products, then this is the place for you.   Shift: 12 hour Night shifts (6pm to 6:30am). Work three 12 hour shifts, get paid for 40 hours.   Duties and Responsibilities: * Operate power industrial trucks (sit-down electric forklifts) to transport raw materials and finished goods. * Input items into SAP system * Maintain accurate production records that are written and computer based. * Perform minor maintenance repairs and/or sanitation tasks as needed. * Engage in problem solving to assist in improving safety, quality, yields and productivity. * Maintain a high level of safety and quality awareness and a high degree of urgency. * Be a working part of the team. * Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values * Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. * Follow all DFA GMP's and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements. * Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the business.   Qualifications * High School Diploma/GED. * Minimum of one (1) year prior sitdown forklift experience. * Experience with double forks is a plus.  * Ability to learn and apply to plant environment. * Be an effective communicator. * Basic PC Skills. * Must be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans
