THE OPPORTUNITY

Northern Gold Foods is a co-manufacturer of breakfast and snack products for some of the most successful brands in the world. We’re looking for a Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join the team at our facility in Port Coquitlam.
This is a full-time position and long-term employment within a stable and growing organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience on reach and counterbalance machines; we do provide in-house training specific to our inventory/industry
• Strong work ethic and very strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good English language communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Reliable and self-motivated, able to multi-task
• Shipping/Receiving and food industry experience an asset
• Shift Flexibility

• Loading shipments (FTL/LTL)
• Unloading incoming material shipments and storing efficiently in designated locations
• Ensure production line material demand requirements are fulfilled promptly
• Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory
• Ensure accuracy and quality of all picked and loaded orders
• Perform cycle counts as required
• Inspecting materials for defects and damage
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse
• Follow all policies and procedures
• Conduct operations in a manner that maintains high standards of health and safety to prevent accidents or injuries as a well as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
