QUALIFICATIONS & ASSETS:

• Valid forklift certification and proven forklift operation experience required
• Experience moving long and awkward loads safely is essential
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Air brake ticket for driving our 5-ton truck is an asset (not required, but may assist with occasional needs)
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Legally entitled to work in Canada and currently residing in the Lower Mainland

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Forklift Operator/Materials Handler, you’ll be responsible for supporting daily production and warehouse operations by safely moving and staging material in and out of the building, and throughout the warehouse during the day. You’ll handle long and heavy aluminum and steel bundles (up to 25 feet long) in tight spaces using forklifts and overhead cranes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Move incoming and outgoing materials at the start and end of each shift
• Operate forklift to transport long and heavy metal bundles throughout the facility
• Use overhead crane and other material-handling equipment as needed
• Stage and deliver material to workstations as required during the day
• Assist with organizing yard and indoor storage areas
• Follow safety protocols, including proper load handling
• Support other general tasks during downtime
