Position Overview
The Warehouse Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in our warehouse operations by handling product movement, storage, and order fulfillment. This role ensures the timely and accurate loading, unloading, and transportation of goods while maintaining high safety and operational standards. As a Warehouse Forklift Operator, you will work with a variety of material-handling equipment and collaborate with the warehouse team to meet customer and business needs efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store products safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure order accuracy by picking, packing, and staging orders according to customer and business needs.
  • Replenish and put away inventory as required, maintaining proper stock organization.
  • Conduct product repacking and labeling as needed to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Follow all warehouse layout procedures, ensuring goods are stored and retrieved efficiently.

Operational

  • Perform daily equipment checks and maintenance tasks, including machine cleanliness and reporting any required repairs.
  • Follow established safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain security, sanitation, and general housekeeping of the warehouse.
  • Adhere to company health & safety policies and industry regulatory standards.

Technical

  • Communicate effectively with the warehouse team and supervisor regarding workflow, product issues, and safety concerns.
  • Identify and escalate any issues impacting the production schedule, product quality, or warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Certification: Forklift Operator certification (preferred, but training may be provided).

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and moving products.

Working Environment

  • Physical Requirements: This role involves standing, sitting, lifting, bending, and operating machinery throughout the shift.
  • Schedule: Flexibility required to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Warehouse Conditions: Work is performed in a warehouse setting, with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
