REMELT / FORKLIFT OPERATOR – 2ND SHIFT Be part of the process that keeps our casting operations running smoothly. As a Remelt / Forklift Operator, you play a critical role in delivering high-quality die cast products by ensuring molten aluminum is supplied safely, efficiently, and on time. You’ll work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, teamwork, and reliability matter. What You’ll Do Monitor and maintain proper metal temperatures in remelt and holding furnaces Respond to temperature alarms and indicator lights on casting presses Add aluminum scrap and ingots to furnaces according to specifications Apply fluxing compounds and skim slag to remove impurities Perform proper de-gassing procedures to ensure metal quality Transport molten aluminum to holding furnaces at casting presses Move scrap metal from trim presses back to remelt furnaces for reuse Maintain an adequate supply of aluminum to support production schedules Track and order raw materials using a FIFO inventory system Operate powered industrial equipment (forklift) safely and efficiently Work in a hot, industrial environment near furnaces and casting equipment Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, including overtime as assigned What We’re Looking For Education: High school diploma or GED Experience: At least 6 months in a similar manufacturing environment Forklift or powered industrial equipment experience required Remelt or metal handling experience preferred Licensing: Must hold or be able to obtain a company-issued powered industrial equipment license Physical Requirements: Ability to work in hot conditions and meet physical demands of the role Why Join Us?
