Progressive Meats are looking for staff who are a cut above the rest! We are a leading edge processor of Lamb and Beef in the sunny Hawke’s Bay.
Full-time permanent Forklift operators are needed for 2025 and beyond.
Three years previous experience required, just bring your positive, proactive attitude and you will go far. We are Keen to provide you with the skills and experience to go far in the meat processing trade.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A FORKLIFT OPERATOR INCLUDE:

• Operating Forklift
• Handling Electronic certification documentation
• Moving offal products
  We currently have opportunities to for the right candidates to walk into roles available across our departments in Lamb/Beef Slaughter and further Processing Departments.

Department 10-hour Shift start times Monday to Friday are:

• Lamb Slaughter Dayshift 5:45 am, Nightshift 3:30 pm
• Lamb Boning Dayshift, 6:00 am, Nightshift 4:00 pm
• Beef Boning Dayshift 6:00 am
• Beef Slaughter Dayshift 5:45 am

Weekend availability required over Spring/Summer and Autumn.
There is a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours of work per week.

THESE ROLES REQUIRE:

• Three years relevant experience
• OSH Certification
• A genuine Interest in a career in the Primary Industry specializing in Meat Processing
• High level of physical and mental fitness
• Great attitude and work ethic
• Good communication skills
• Reliable means of transport
• Be able to pass a Drug Screen and Pre-employment Medical
• An ACC Pre-Employment Check Report
• A NZ Ministry of Justice Check
