L&R is the largest distributor and the 6th largest purchaser of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA and more) through 3 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, New Jersey, Nevada. We have openings across multiple departments. Shift: Monday through Friday 4pm to 9pm Job Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial truck/forklifts to load and unload product and deliveries. The driver will need to move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks. Key Responsibilities Include: Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Perform daily equipment checks, i.e., checking truck batteries Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards Stack products in the correct storage bins at the direction of inventory control Ensure that loads are secure Promote a safe work environment Attention to details Use computerized scanning device (RF Gun) Supervision: This position is frequently supervised by the Warehouse Shift Supervisor. Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Forklift Operations Certification is preferred (or experience with other warehouse equipment) OSHA Certification is preferred (but not required) Skills Required: Safety Time management Willingness to learn computerized scanning device Physical Demands This position requires standing and light lifting (up to 50 pounds) for 80% of the day and stooping for 20% of the day.
