Description General Duties and Responsibilities Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and move and stack them in assigned places utilizing a forklift, turret, and other warehouse equipment. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Transport raw materials to production workstations. Assist in other warehouse-related tasks such as picking orders accurately, packaging products, restocking products, and areas of receiving and shipping if applicable. Operate PIV equipment safely by following all the protocols set forth by the company. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Load freight shipments manually and with warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks as needed. Weigh and shrink-wrap outgoing pallets as required. Performs general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of the dock and inventory areas. Provide general warehouse support as needed, such as organizing products, and maintaining clean and safe work areas. Addendum In addition to the above forklift operator responsibilities the warehouse order picker will also be responsible for the following: Using a stand-up picker to accurately and efficiently pick products listed on master pick lists for shipping departments to fulfill client orders. Transport raw materials as requested to the production and shipping work areas. Load freight shipments both manually and with PIV equipment and pallet jacks. Shrink wrap outgoing pallets in preparation for shipping. Conduct inventory counts as requested. Requirements Requirements High school diploma Minimum one year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Experience with computers. Proven experience as a forklift operator and using other PIV equipment is a plus. Competencies/Skills Assertive and clear written and oral communication. Willingness to grow and adapt as the needs of the business grow. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to problem solve. Ability to work independently and team-orientated, able to work with diverse individuals within and outside the TIG/Exodus Organizations. Self-motivated, self-directed, and hardworking.
