Position Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment to move, locate, stack, and stage materials. This role supports efficient production operations while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity standards in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, including working in drive-in racking systems Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials Accurately track inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), as applicable Perform routine equipment checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with handling cardboard waste, including operating the baler and removing completed bales Follow all company safety, GMP, and operational procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, including working in drive-in racking systems Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials Accurately track inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), as applicable Perform routine equipment checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with handling cardboard waste, including operating the baler and removing completed bales Follow all company safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and operational procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfy each essential duty. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of one (1) year of forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or distribution environment Experience operating forklifts in drive-in racking preferred Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus Skills and Abilities Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Certifications Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire) Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear Frequently required to sit while operating equipment (up to 90% of the shift) Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception Work Environment Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts Occasional exposure to cold/freezer conditions Moderate to loud noise levels Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with occasional weekend work based on business needs.
