This is an Hourly position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory, record keeping and ordering of all patient enteral formula. Follows the standards of formula preparation as described in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics “Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Healthcare Facilities�. Recognizes weights and measures to correctly read, write, and calculate formula recipes, maintains aseptic technique during formula preparation, and maintains sanitation guidelines in formula room. Regularly interacts with dietitians, pharmacist, nurses, unit secretaries, and foodservice personnel. Able to complete formula preparation competencies in the first 90 days. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: 6 months experience in nutrition related field and/or food service, pharmacy, nursing, or a hospital setting. Mathematics aptitude, ability to communicate both written and verbally. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Basic knowledge of Nutrition and Disease Licensure/Certifications: Certified Dietetic Technician certification from the Academy of Dietetics and Nutrition. Certified Foodservice Sanitation certification from the state of Illinois or other qualified certifying body. Other skills/knowledge: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Aseptic technique, HACCP guidelines OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
