About The Role: Our Formulation Coordinator, a hybrid role based in Highland, Illinois, ensures that the ingredient blends produced meet the specific nutritional requirements of companion animals while also being high quality and efficient to manufacture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formula Management (50%): Reviews, processes, and executes formula set up and changes in ERP software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with manufacturing processes. Coordinates formula migration between different software systems in compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Record Maintenance (20%): Maintains formula documents and serves as central point of contact for formula records and documents.
  • Label Creation (15%): Creates product labels following Associate of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) label guidelines.
  • Cross-Functional Business Support (10%): Communicates and works cross-functionally to execute and support tasks and projects.
  • Optimization and Efficiency (5%): Promotes methods for optimization and efficiency to support the Formulation team.

EXPECTATION FROM THE ROLE:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills in ERP software (Infor M3 preferred), formulation software (Brill or BESTMIX preferred) and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to think cross-functionally
  • Systematic thinking and ability to follow and determine process flow
