Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Formulates and develops new products; oral solid dosage dietary supplements (tablets, capsules and powders), based on customer’s specifications, label and/or sample.  * Coordinates new product formulation development and modifies existing formulations as required.  * Prepares nutraceutical formulations as required by test methods and performs all necessary calculations associated with the test analysis * Optimizes ingredient functionality, product functionality, product formulations and product enhancement to improve quality, cost, and manufacturing of new and current products.  * Develops Supplement and Nutritional Facts for formulated products * Reviews new and existing Master Formulas.  * Prepares written monograph’s product and writes technical and progress reports * Researches clinical studies of active ingredients. * Provides technical support to domestic and international customers. * Reviews documentation required for the international registration of products. * Monitors, evaluates, and interprets data from all phases of design and development of a product * Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Chemistry * 3 - 5 years’ experience * Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred * Knowledge in GMP regulations * Familiar with laboratory equipment and all production stages (blending, compression, etc.) * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Responsibilities
