JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking skilled and dedicated formwork carpenters and concrete finishers to join our team at JC Formworks. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of construction skills and mechanical knowledge, enabling them to contribute effectively to various projects. These roles require hands-on experience in multiple areas of construction, including but not limited to concrete work, carpentry, and masonry. You will be responsible for executing tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and project specifications.

Duties (Carpenter)

• Operate and maintain various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Perform concrete forming, finishing, and form removal tasks as required for specific projects. (Flatwork, Stairs, Walls, etc.)
• Install custom formwork and rebar with precision.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate project execution.
• Engage in heavy lifting and operation of heavy equipment when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members on construction site activities, ensuring all work is completed to high standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of the project.
• Perform takeoffs for concrete and material quantities.

DUTIES (CONCRETE FINISHER)

• Place concrete and finish to various decorative finishes.
• Screed, Bull float, Edge, Hand trowel, Tool cut, etc.
• Rake, Shovel, and Wheel barrow concrete.
• Safely operate walk-behind power trowels.
• Application of various retarders, color hardeners, and stamps.
• Layout and sawcut fresh concrete when required.
• Pressure wash, and apply sealer to concrete when required.
