*Full car and Class 2 truck license – A full driver’s license and Class 2 truck license are required. Additional endorsements for Roller, Tracks, and Wheels would be advantageous for handling machinery on-site.
*Surveying skills – A NZ Certificate in Surveying or equivalent is required. Must be proficient in setting up surveying instruments, establishing control points, and ensuring accurate site layout for formwork.
*Trade qualification – A Trade Certification, Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), Diploma, or equivalent is preferred, demonstrating your expertise in construction and compliance with industry standards.
*Residency or work visa – Candidates must be NZ residents or hold a valid work visa that allows legal employment in New Zealand. Proof of status is required upon application.
*Drawing interpretation – Must be able to read, interpret, and apply architectural and structural plans, ensuring all work is completed accurately and in accordance with project specifications and design requirements.
*Quality Assurance – Responsible for maintaining high standards of workmanship, ensuring all completed work aligns with project specifications, management instructions, and relevant industry compliance requirements.
*Physical fitness – This is a hands-on role requiring physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work in outdoor environments while handling manual labour tasks as part of daily duties.
*Team coordination – Must efficiently plan and manage plant, labour, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring smooth workflow, effective time management, and seamless coordination across different project teams.
*Communication skills – Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Inspectors to ensure smooth project execution, adherence to timelines, and compliance with structural and regulatory requirements.
