Salary: Circa £39,000 per annum
Location: Newport, Gwent
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full Time (working 37 hours a week)

  • A Social Work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Willingness to work flexibly including participation in an out of hours telephone support rota for foster parents
  • The ability to work within timescales.
  • Commitment to our child centred values.The ability to drive with access to a car. The job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.

Responsibilities

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

Our successful therapeutic fostering service is now looking to recruit a Fostering Social Worker to join our team. The fostering service provides safe, stable foster homes for vulnerable children and young people.
You’ll be working on a hybrid basis which includes visiting foster families, attending meetings, working from home, and attending the office.
As a Fostering Social Worker for our sector leading Fostering Wales service you’ll train and support Foster Parents to provide stable family homes to young people who have survived trauma so a therapeutic approach is a vital part of our work.
