This is a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated group of Supervising Social Workers, working closely with our Registered Manager, Service Manager and Directors to shape and deliver an exceptional fostering service.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As Fostering Team Manager, you’ll play a key role in:

  • Leading, supervising, and developing a team of Social Workers.
  • Embedding best practice and ensuring compliance with fostering legislation, standards, and regulations.
  • Promoting high-quality support for foster carers to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • Driving continuous improvement and maintaining the agency’s high standards, contributing to our ongoing success at Ofsted inspections.
  • Contributing to strategic planning and service development as a valued member of the Management Team.
  • Supporting Foster carers
  • Supporting the management team with achieving Outstanding in all areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, appraise, and support your team, identifying training needs and fostering professional growth.
  • Create a supportive, motivated, and collaborative team culture.
  • Oversee service delivery, ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence.
  • Work with senior leaders on foster carer assessments and panel activity.
  • Share responsibility for our out-of-hours senior duty rota.
  • Keep up to date with developments in foster care to strengthen and evolve practice.
