JOB SUMMARY

This position offers the opportunity to work in a project team environment in the production of detailed designs for Wireless Structures projects. The role will assess structures design issues while factoring in budget, reliability, maintenance, and industry regulations and standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; a master’s degree one of these fields is a plus.

Work Location: Remot

The Design Engineer will be responsible for reviewing client specifications and efficiently designing steel structures using line design software (tnxTower) and will oversee the technical requirements from initial design through fabrication, i.e. from CAD drawing development to final construction. The Design Engineer will be required to coordinate communications between customers and contractors on issues involving product design and installation, and will troubleshoot issues relating to field installations. The Design Engineer will also perform complex structural analysis and create designs to that promote broader and improved institutional engineering knowledge and capabilities, and will provide technical information and guidance to other departments as necessary.
