ABOUT STOCKPORT COUNTY

Founded in 1883, Stockport County are one of the country’s longest established football clubs. Initially formed as Heaton Norris Rovers, the Club officially became Stockport County in 1890 after the County Borough of Stockport and have been based at Edgeley Park since 1902.
The team currently competes in Sky Bet League One, the third tier of the English Football League, after winning the 2023–24 Sky Bet League Two title.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an enthusiastic Coach to join our Academy team. The postholder is responsible for designing and delivering training sessions within the structure of the Academy coaching framework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Show professionalism and desire to develop players in line with the coaching philosophy of the club.
• Plan and deliver training sessions in line with the EPPP.
• Develop individual players to allow them the opportunity to reach their maximum potential.
• Work well with a team of coaches within the Foundation Phase to ensure that the high standards of the Academy are met.
• Continuously represent the clubs culture and values to promote a positive environment for players and staff.
