Primary Duties And Responsibilities The Program Manager, Prospect Management & Research collaborates with Development professionals to design unique, personalized, data-driven strategies for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The Manager conducts comprehensive, proactive prospect research with the goal of identifying new major and principal gift prospects, both individual and corporate. The Manager conducts and synthesizes background research using a variety of online and non-electronic data sources. Based on their research, the Manager draws conclusions and makes recommendations regarding the philanthropic viability of prospective donors and develops pathway strategies for meaningful engagement. The Manager leads strategy planning discussions with Development that result in concrete action plans informed in large part by the Manager’s insights. The Manager gathers, interprets, and presents pertinent information on individuals, corporations, foundations, and community organizations to Development and Foundation leadership. The Manager prepares individualized prospect profiles, briefings and strategy recommendations. The Manager develops a framework for documenting interconnected and interdependent relationships within our donor and prospect pool. The Manager collaborates with Development to ensure soft intel gained from meetings and interactions is accurately captured and can be utilized to inform future strategies. The Manager works with a large volume of personal and financial information regarding individuals, families and corporations; thus, discretion and sound judgement are paramount. In addition to targeted prospect research, the Manager is responsible for supporting segment-based research as we work to expand our footprint and gain an understanding of key constituent target groups based on location, affinity or network. The Manager strategically analyzes and assesses prospects and portfolios to assist Development team in driving donor identification and cultivation. The Manager partners with Development team to strategize effective processes and procedures that assist in new tactics for pipeline development. The Manager maintains access to external information sources and an internal research library of hard copy and electronic resources. The Manager is responsible for helping to maintain the accuracy of the Foundation’s collective knowledge and donor database. The Manager displays competence in the core functions above and trains current and future Analyst, Research and Development Ops how to complete core functions of role. The Manager performs other duties as assigned.
