Description PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Foundation Relations Specialist supports the Foundation Giving Team through grant reporting, donor data management, campaign coordination, and written materials that drive funding and advance NTFB’s mission. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally Strong proofreading, editing and grammar skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to support fundraising goals Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Experience using a constituent relationship management (CRM) system; experience with Blackbaud products preferred Experience: Two years of professional experience producing written materials (e.g., grant proposals, reports and communications) Experience with grant writing or project management preferred PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage grant reporting requirements, including gathering information in coordination with other NTFB business units, creating accurate and timely grant reports, and fulfilling donor documentation requests Maintain and update the grant reporting calendar. Produce and submit grant proposals, reports, and donor communications in alignment with the NTFB strategic plan, team production standards, and plan of work Select, adapt and maintain template materials for grant proposals, recognition letters and reports Lead and coordinate internal events and meetings in support of development and engagement initiatives Use the NTFB constituent relationship management system to document processes, manage tasks and track requests Input and maintain donor data in the CRM system to support reporting, campaigns, and relationship management MENTAL DEMANDS: Adapt effectively to workplace stressors, including customer concerns, compliance issues and competing priorities of significance to the team’s success. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 15 pounds.
