ABOUT Agnikul Cosmos is a company incubated at IIT Madras and we build rockets that can take satellites up to 500 kg to Lower Earth Orbit (LEO). In May 2024, we successfully completed our maiden launch from our own launchpad (India's first private launchpad). The launch has proven all the new technologies developed by Agnikul and also earned recognition from Honourable Prime Minister of India. We are looking for a highly driven and versatile individual to work closely with the Founder(s) on strategic, operational, and execution-focused initiatives. This role offers a front-row seat to building and scaling a company, with exposure across functions including strategy, operations, product, growth, and partnerships. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Initiatives Work with the Founder(s) to identify, prioritize, and execute key business initiatives Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and business planning Support decision-making through data analysis and structured problem-solving 2. Execution & Operations Drive end-to-end execution of cross-functional projects Track key metrics, OKRs, and business performance Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements 3. Stakeholder Management Coordinate with internal teams (product, marketing, sales, operations) to ensure alignment Assist in managing external stakeholders including partners, investors, and vendors 4. Founder Leverage Act as a force multiplier for the Founder(s) by handling high-priority tasks Prepare presentations, reports, and communication for internal and external use Support fundraising, partnerships, and special projects as needed 5. Problem Solving & Ad-hoc Projects Take ownership of ambiguous, high-impact problems Quickly learn new domains and execute with minimal supervision Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field (MBA is a plus but not mandatory) 1–5 years of experience in consulting, startups, investment banking, or similar fast-paced environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities High ownership, attention to detail, and execution bias Ability to thrive in ambiguity and a fast-changing environment Preferred Traits Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong curiosity to learn Structured thinking and ability to break down complex problems Comfort with data and tools (Excel, SQL, dashboards, etc.) Prior startup experience or exposure to 0→1 environments
Responsibilities
The associate will work closely with the founders to execute strategic initiatives, manage cross-functional operations, and drive business performance. They will also act as a force multiplier by handling high-priority tasks, stakeholder communication, and complex problem-solving.
