Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Founding Senior Quantitative Engineer to lead the design and development of trading infrastructure for the Button protocol. If the idea of being able to apply your quantitative trading background to power core functionality of DeFi protocols motivates you, this is the role for you.
Hyperliquid’s architecture allows EVM protocols to tap into liquidity on CLOB based infrastructure, enabling access to both spot and derivative venues. This unlock allows Button to reimagine smart contract based money markets, where the expertise of an experienced quantitative engineer can have a high impact in the success of the protocol.
In this role, you will lead the development of trading infrastructure and execution for Button, working closely with the CTO to reimagine the next generation of lending and debt markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the architecture, technical design, and implementation of Button’s trading infrastructure and execution
  • Collaborate closely with external liquidity providers to design infrastructure that meets their needs in core external functions
  • Design and implement delta neutral trading strategies
  • Design and implement collateral liquidation and risk management strategies
  • Design and implement trading infrastructure for liquidity provisioning on derivative markets
  • Collaborate closely with protocol engineers to build robust and secure workflows
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to established coding standards and best practices
