Tallman Technologies Inc. is an established company founded in 1875 and is a leader in the design and manufacturing of solids and gas injection technologies for the global steel and ironmaking industries. Tallman also manufactures a variety of non-ferrous cast products for the electric motor and other large industries. Tallman is a fully integrated manufacture with in-house computer modeling, casting, machining, welding and assembly operations.
As a foundry Furnace Operator/Melter, you would be part of a team responsible for melting and casting non-ferrous metals using small natural gas fired furnaces.
Foundry experience is an asset but not required. We will train on melting procedures.

Job responsibilities includes the following:

• Weighing and ingot and alloying additions for the melt.
• Charging, operating, taking temperature and samples from the furnaces.
• Natural gas furnace inspection and maintenance.
• Forklift & overhead crane operation (as required to assist in daily production).
• Setting up centrifugal casting molds (as required).
• Assist in various foundry departments (molding, melting, pouring, cleaning, shipping) as required by work demand.

Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 to 3:30pm (summer hours).
