Description Job Title: Foundry Worker Compensation: $20.00 pr hr Schedule: 5am - 3:30 pm Monday-Thursday : Overtime Fridays and/or Saturdays FOUNDRY WORKER JOB SUMMARY: The Pourer/Shifter is responsible for operating transfer ladles to safely pour molten metal into sand molds on the pouring deck. This role also involves handling mold weights and jackets, driving a powered lift truck, and supporting other deck operations to ensure efficient casting production. Safety, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential for success in this high-heat environment. FOUNDRY WORKER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate overhead monorail system to transport ladles from furnaces to pouring area. Adjust ladle height and pour molten metal into molds accurately. Use temperature instruments to verify molten metal temperature. Move and position mold weights and jackets for secure pouring. Push mold pallets across the deck as needed. Operate mold release controls for shakeout process. Use shakeout turntable to separate castings and remove risers/gates. Operate powered lift trucks to transport materials. Follow all work instructions and supervisor guidance. Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned. FOUNDRY WORKER QUALIFICATIONS: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift over 100 lbs with assistance. 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred. High school diploma or GED preferred. Exposure to extreme heat and high noise levels Ability to read and understand basic work instructions. Ability to write simple notes and communicate effectively with team members. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to follow detailed instructions and resolve basic problems. Regularly required to stand; frequently walk and reach.
