Description Job Summary: The FP&A Analyst assists with the working capital analysis, present budget vs. actual analysis, helps manage Accounts Receivable and Cash Management, Works directly with controllers on Inventory Management and working capital forecasting, analyzes critical accounts for proper reconciliation support and forecasting. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, budgeting, monthly reporting, and assisting with month-end close process, including preparation of various journal entries and account reviews. Other duties include: Assist with working capital budgeting process Assist with preparing financial results, including actual vs. budget and last year analysis Assist with the credit and cash collection process Assist with developing effective financial metrics Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations Assist with accounts payable review with Sr. Management Automate processes wherever possible All other duties as assigned A successful candidate combines excellent analytical skills with a strong knowledge of accounting principles. Experience with general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating with commercial, operations, supply chain and other colleagues outside of the finance department. Five or more years of work experience in the manufacturing industry. FP&A and GL accounting experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures FP&A related experience Awareness of business trends Familiarity with financial accounting statements Familiar with general ledger and consolidation software Advanced MS Excel skills Accuracy and attention to detail Position located in Tecumseh, Michigan. Travel requirement less than 10% of total time. Work Environment: Office / Manufacturing environment. Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, painting etc. This is an office-based position that requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, reading, seeing, hearing, speaking, concentrating, and communicating.
Responsibilities
