Description

Arete Health, a rapidly growing, PE-backed outpatient physical therapy platform, is looking for an experienced and highly analytical FP&A Director/Analyst to join our leadership team. This role is your chance to take the operational vision of the CEO and quantify it, forecast it, and bring it to life — while shaping the future of our clinic network’s unit economics.
We want someone who can model growth, evaluate ROI, and partner cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and finance to drive profitability and smart expansion. Experience in multi-site, multi-state healthcare is highly preferred, and a track record of working with private equity sponsors is a plus.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Financial Planning

  • Translate operational strategy into actionable financial models, ROI analyses, and long-range forecasts.
  • Build and manage company budgets and projections, integrating clinic-level unit economics and market expansion plans.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of acquisitions, new clinic launches, and service line expansions on EBITDA.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance dashboards for leadership and investors.
  • Partner with regional and clinic leaders to improve margins, throughput, and utilization.
  • Track KPIs alongside financial results to uncover performance drivers and opportunities.

Risk Management & Vendor Oversight

  • Maintain vendor contracts, lease agreements, and commercial insurance schedules.
  • Manage renewals, notifications, and compliance with third-party agreements.

Investment & ROI Analysis

  • Quantify returns for strategic initiatives, technology investments, and operational changes.
  • Conduct break-even, payback, and sensitivity analyses at the clinic and enterprise levels

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics (MBA/CPA/CFA preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years in FP&A, ideally in multi-site, multi-state outpatient healthcare.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare unit economics and payer reimbursement.
  • Relationship-builder who can work seamlessly with clinical, operational, and executive teams.
  • Experience in PE-backed environments a plus.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
