The role

  • Work closely with the Global Process Owner of BPM(Holistic Analysis), with primary focus on ESG
  • Make sure that ESG-related FP&A processes like reporting and forecasting consolidation and Business performance management activities are run efficiently, including the introduction and effective operation of the new CARM control. The role works with a wide range of partners the above, including Controllers’ Group, ESG Team, Functional Leads, FP&A Teams, and Finance Leaders as needed. Play a key role in enabling smooth contribution of FP&A that supports the related external reporting aspects; on top of this supports the introduction of the new ESG reporting tool as part of Voyager wave 1.5 from FP&A perspective
  • Establish, embed, and continuously improve the assigned FP&A Process to identify and deliver contribution to Diageo’s Productivity Agenda and GBS’s Strategy
  • Drive the vital process and system changes to enable a robust and simplified planning, reporting, and analysis process to allow insight and understanding of assigned areas as part of an overall FP&A process
  • Support on establishing and embedding global FP&A Process, ensuring connections to other financial processes, adherence to process and timelines. Build mechanisms for KPI reporting, exception management and critical issues
  • Act as a guide of the technology in place to support the FP&A processes, ensure that right governance established to lead improvements and system updates
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to optimise, simplify and automate the assigned FP&A process(es) while also delivering a robust control agenda
  • Ensure understanding of the process and individual roles and responsibilities

About you:

  • University / College degree in finance / accounting
  • At least 5 years working experience in Finance/FP&A
  • Deep understanding of Diageo financial and reporting processes, with particular focus on FP&A
  • Excellent communication skills with senior partners
  • Curious, willing to dig deeper into data and explore linkages
  • Able to draw insights from finance and non-finance data
  • Detailed oriented, structured in approach to work
  • Willing to be flexible and work across work-streams as needed
  • Self-motivated, team-player
  • Data literacy - the ability to read, write and communicate data in context, including an understanding of data sources and constructs, analytical methods and techniques applied.
