As a Business Analyst you pro-actively support strategy execution and the performance culture by delivering meaningful, accurate and timely reporting & analysis on business performance, thereby supporting relevant stakeholders (Supervisory Board, Executive Committee, Divisions and Regions) to make fact-based sound business decisions. You support execution of financial planning by preparing and supporting performance and strategy/planning meetings of relevant stakeholders. As part of the finance road map you drive continuous improvements with respect to reporting, (scenario) analysis, financial planning and business case processes.
Your role
- You develop meaningful KPI’s and reporting on business performance, providing deep insights and fact-based analysis, by means of e.g. monthly performance, monthly forecasting, strategic update, annual plan etc.;
- You drive improvement in disclosure of key metrics from transaction level till consolidation at group level;
- You provide in-depth understanding of the business by driving conclusive analysis, translating variances in KPI’s and macro-economic information into actions;
- You monitor effectiveness of improvement initiatives and bring relevant financial issues to the attention of key stakeholders;
- You support the process for the monthly forecast process, preparation of gap analysis and you benchmark financial & cost performance against historical data/competitors;
- You act as a sparring partner for the Group Controller, CFO and Investor Relations on matters regarding financial planning and analysis;
- You contribute to Fugro’s finance transformation with the implementation of a change management culture by challenging and replacing established processes and procedures where necessary.
What you bring along
- You preferably have a Master degree in Business Economics and solid accounting knowledge;
- You have 5+ working experience with control, advisory or business analyses, preferably in an international environment;
- You have the capacity to digest complex information, see trends, have a helicopter view and think in scenario’s and analysis through data;
- You are an excellent communicator and team player in an international and multi-stakeholder setting;
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken);
- You have a critical mindset, you are accurate, take ownership and you continuously learn, improve and develop yourself.
