Description
Eaton’s EPG CHD EP LATAM division is currently seeking a FP&A Specialist. What you’ll do: Job Summary FP&A specialist primary function is to support the business through financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and management reporting, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely financial information to enable effective decision‑making. The role partners closely with functional leaders to prepare budgets and forecasts, analyze actual results vs profit plan, identify key variances and drivers, and provide insights on profitability, cost control, pricing, and operational performance across the LATAM region (México and CSAR). Job Responsibilities The main responsabilities of the position are: 1. Perform the profit plan and monthly forecast, ensuring alignment with all functional areas. 2. Own the month‑end financial analysis process, identifying key variances versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, and providing clear, value‑added explanations. 3. Develop, consolidate, and review management reports, dashboards, and business scorecards, ensuring relevance, accuracy, and insight for decision‑making. 4. Perform advanced analysis of sales, orders, backlog, pricing, inventory, and profitability, identifying trends, drivers, and improvement opportunities. 5. Ensure high standards of data integrity, consistency, and governance across planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. 6. Act as a trusted finance business partner, providing recommendations, challenging assumptions, and supporting strategic and operational decisions. Main Role: 1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, and profit plans in coordination with functional areas. 2. Perform month‑end financial analysis, including variance analysis vs forecast, profit plan and prior periods, and provide clear explanations. 3. Prepare, consolidate, and review management reports, dashboards, and business scorecards with key financial and operational KPIs. 4. Perform sales, orders, backlog, pricing and inventory analysis to support commercial and operational decision‑making. 5. Consolidate information from Latin America to report the weekly GPC. 6. Analyze price execution for each product line in Latin America, communicating variances and requesting action plans to monitor execution. 7. Review the monthly business scorecard, compiled by the FLDP with the key KPIs from functional areas to facilitate decision-making based on the business strategy. 8. Report consolidated savings at the end of each month, analyzing and identifying outliers. 9. Adhere to policies and procedures based on applicable management systems (EQMS, MESH Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), the guidelines of ATEX and IEC Ex as applied and in the standards ISO-9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, to comply with the Management System (SG)Comply with the policies and procedures based on the applicable management systems (EQMS, MESH Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), ATEX and IEC Ex guidelines as applicable and ISO-9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 standards, to comply with the Management System (MS) Qualifications: Education level required Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Years of experience required Previous experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Controlling, Finance, or related roles, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. Determines variance drivers, financial risks, and opportunities, and decides on the appropriate analysis and level of detail to support management decision‑making. Decides on financial reporting structures, KPIs, and commentary to be presented in management reports and business scorecards. Recommends corrective actions and improvement opportunities related to expense control, forecast accuracy, pricing execution, and profitability performance. Escalates material risks, significant variances, or policy‑related issues to the FP&A Manager or Finance leadership as required by Eaton governance.
