Haigh-Farr is seeking an FPGA/FW Engineer to assist in the design and development of our Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) products within our Advanced Products Group. This role would bridge the hardware and software engineering domains and ensure the FPGA logic and embedded software work together seamlessly in our applications. Responsibilities: Design, code, simulate, document and test full high-speed FPGA systems Troubleshoot complex systems, optimize for speed, power and ensure compliance with specifications Build and maintain tools and processes for FPGA development Partner with hardware, software and system teams to ensure seamless integration Produce technical documentation for designs and integration processes Work closely with others within your department to understand requirements and meet customer expectations Address unforeseen issues to realize scheduled project timeline Requirements Knowledge & Skills: FPGA design using SystemVerilog/Verilog or VHDL, preferably SystemVerilog Simulation tools (Modelsim, Vivado XSim), UVM experience a plus Familiarity with lab equipment: Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers C/C++, Python, digital signal processing, git High-speed interfaces (Multi-Gigabit SERDES, i.e. Aurora/Ethernet/PCIe) AMD/Xilinx Vivado experience is a plus Experience in the Military/Aerospace/Government (MAG) markets a plus Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Independent, self-starter with the ability to multi-task Possess excellent communication skills and positive attitude Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field Master’s Degree a plus Proven work experience U.S. citizenship required Ability to possess a security clearance Why should you join Haigh-Farr?
