Job Details Job Location: Building 171 - Manchester, CT 06042 Summary: The NDT Level II Technician performs advanced nondestructive testing on aerospace components to detect flaws, verify integrity, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards. This role requires the ability to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret results, and provide accurate documentation in accordance with AS9100, NAS 410, and other applicable aerospace standards. Responsibilities: Perform NDT inspections using approved methods such as Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic Testing, Eddy Current, or Radiographic Testing, in accordance with NAS 410 and customer requirements. Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment to detect cracks, voids, inclusions, and other discontinuities. Interpret and evaluate test results in terms of applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and certifications for audit compliance. Ensure proper handling and storage of aerospace compo9nents before and after inspection to prevent damage or contamination. Follow written procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans per quality system requirements. Assist with training and guidance for NDT Level I personnel. Support First Article and production part inspections as needed. Maintain compliance with AS9100, FAA, and customer specific requirements. Follow all safety and environmental regulations related to NDT processes and materials. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or vocational training preferred. NAS 410 or equivalent certification as an NDT Level II in one or more methods. 2+ years of hands on NDT experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T. Strong knowledge of NDT equipment calibration, operation, and maintenance. Understanding of AS9100 quality systems and aerospace inspection requirements. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and documentation accuracy. Preferred Competencies: Multi-method NDT Level II certification. Familiarity with FAA and DoD aerospace inspection standards. Root cause analysis participation. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Continuous improvement mindset.
