Turning Point HCM is a growing HR consulting firm dedicated to helping small-to-mid-sized businesses build scalable, compliant, and people-centric HR operations. We’re currently seeking an experienced Fractional HR Specialist to join our team and support a diverse portfolio of clients on a part-time, flexible basis.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Fractional HR Specialist, you will serve as a trusted HR advisor for clients across industries, supporting day-to-day HR operations and helping drive people strategy. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client environment and enjoys a high level of autonomy and impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in small or growing organizations
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR compliance (multi-state knowledge preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Experience using HRIS systems such as Paycor, ADP, Gusto, or BambooHR
  • Experience using Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite
  • Experience running payroll
  • Consulting or fractional HR experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned clients
  • Develop and implement HR policies, handbooks, and compliance practices
  • Advise on employee relations matters including performance, discipline, and investigations
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support benefits administration, leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, etc.), and payroll coordination
  • Support and complete payroll for clients as needed
  • Facilitate HR audits, risk assessments, and training sessions
