Frame Assembly Trainee The Company: Shenandoah Furniture, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation. The Position: We are looking for a dependable individual with great attention to detail to join our assembly team as a Frame Assembly Trainee in our Martinsville, VA location. This individual will: * Assemble parts according to style specifications. * Retrieve necessary components for assembly. * Inspects parts for quality control standards. * Use proper PPE – safety glasses, ear plugs. * Maintain good housekeeping practices to prevent slips, trips and falls. * Lift plywood parts onto tabletop, assemble parts using glue brush, staple gun, screw gun and grinding wheel, and lower plywood frame from tabletop to ground level. Candidates that will be a great fit will: * Able to perform repetitive tasks such as bend, lift, twist, and reach for extended periods of time. * Able to stand and walk for 100% of shift. * Capable of operating staple guns, glue brushes and grinding wheels. * Able to lower up to 50 pounds of weight at waist height tabletop to floor level up to 30 times per shift. * Capable of operating band saw. Pay depends upon experience, skill, and qualifications.
