Description

How do you develop and implement new asset management initiatives?
At National Grid Electricity Transmission, we’re looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Framework Engineer to join our Asset Management Frameworks team. This is your opportunity to play a key role in simplifying, standardising, and digitising the frameworks that govern how we manage our critical infrastructure.
In this role you will develop policies, methodologies and guidance which can be applied across the wide-ranging types of assets installed on the transmission network. Additionally, you will be involved in solving our asset management problems by driving simplification, standardisation and digitisation of the frameworks used to manage National Grid’s extensive asset base throughout the asset lifecycle.
This role is based out of our Warwick office, and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!

WHAT YOU’LL HAVE

  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Technology or Business-related subject along with the ability to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of the asset lifecycle and role of asset management, and experience with asset management standards (e.g. ISO55000 series).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the asset management system, including business drivers & planning requirements.
  • An understanding of National Grid’s role in the energy industry and regulatory framework.
Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At National Grid, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace for everyone. So, if you’re excited about this role but your experience or qualifications don’t match the job description exactly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be the right person for our growing business in this role or another one.
