A Day in the Life of a Framing Supervisor at RWC!
Be part of designing your community! From the bustling downtown core all the way to Northern British Columbia you will be championing the installation of walls and ceilings at our client sites. Our previous and current locations include Amazon HQ, YVR Airport, University of British Columbia, Parq Casino, Emily Carr University, Willowbrook Mall, Royal Columbian Hospital, New Saint Paul’s Hospital and much more! The framing supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the company’s resources to increase productivity, quality and safety. You will be encouraging staff to always put their best foot forward to ensure all our job sites are safe.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
  • Architectural and or Construction trade experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of a wide range of construction techniques and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and comprehend blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Spearhead a team of field employees and ensure their work is performed with a high level of efficiency.
  • Ability to perform including steel stud framing, drywall, and acoustic ceilings.
  • Schedule project workforce needs by working in tandem with Project Manager and report to General Contractor.
  • Lead safety meetings and workplace assessments/inspections with the team on a regular basis.
  • Champion daily administration such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates and correspondence with the project team.
  • Ensure that quality standards are being met and assist in managing the project Quality Control program and tracking deficiencies.
  • Arrange deliveries and submit material request.
  • Complete daily reports in various apps such as Plexxis and Salus.
  • Perform Time and Materials work using EWA’s in the Site Supervisor app.
  • Document all trade damages using the PlanGrid system.
  • Manage the productivity and timely completion of jobs while ensuring all safety rules and regulations are being followed.
  • Enforce all General Contractor and RWC safety guidelines and regulations.
