FRAUD AND INVESTIGATIONS LEAD

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a flexible and adaptable leader with demonstrable experience of leading a team of investigators and directly conducting complex investigative work, ideally within the rail industry.

As a minimum you will need:

• At least three years’ experience in a similar role
• The ability to travel across the network, sometimes at short notice, in order to meet business needs
• Line management experience
• Good organisational skills
• A keen eye for detail
• An excellent standard of both verbal and written communication
• To be proactive and identify areas for improvement, as well as the ability to react quickly to new emerging needs
• Prioritisation and delegation skills
• To be fluent with Rail Industry ticketing systems and technology

Reporting directly to the Senior Retail & Debt Recovery Manager, the Fraud and Investigations Lead will lead and direct a team of investigative and administration staff to support TransPennine Express’ highly functional Debt Recovery & Prosecutions Department.
You will be responsible for developing, managing and delivering the business’ fraud strategy, working with industry partners, other Train Operating Companies and the British Transport Police to ensure that the Fraud and Investigations team are allocated to areas that will return the most value on investment.
You’ll have a keen eye for detail, as well as a progressive attitude to new and modern ways of working. As an expert in your field, you’ll constantly review our fraud activity and identify new and emerging trends, enabling TransPennine Express to reduce fraud and ticketless travel and deliver value to tax payers.
