Description

We are looking for a Store Supervisor to oversee the store operations of our iconic Candy Store in Downtown Halifax. The Store Supervisor is responsible for upholding store standards, staffing and customer service.
Freak Lunchbox is Atlantic Canada’s Original Candy Store since 2001. Offering a premium selection of the world’s most exclusive and exceptional pre-packaged and bulk candy.
To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful team builder, an outgoing and enthusiastic people person and a confident decision-maker. You will be working in-store as well as coaching a small and dedicated team to thrive and be productive. The primary responsibility is creating a customer focused environment, from greeting, cleanliness, product freshness, and positivity for your team.
You will be provided constant support and work closely with the owners, our General Manager, our HR department and an expansive and knowledgeable team at our 8 retail locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the overall customer service oriented environment at our Halifax location
  • Provide in-person customer care and service
  • Maintain a staff of up to 8 employees with the assistance of your GM and HR consultants
  • Maintain cleanliness, inventory and stock levels
  • Direct the employee assessment process and encourage employee performance
  • Ensure shift coverage during sick calls
  • Prepare regular reports for management
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
  • Provide solutions to issues
  • Ensure merchandising standards are upheld

SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Supervisor
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage a diverse staff
  • Merchandising in a bright, loud and busy environment
  • Ability to calmly handle HR issues
    The successful candidate must submit a criminal background check.
