We are offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program designed to help you gain the skills and certification needed to begin a rewarding career in healthcare. This program provides hands-on training, classroom instruction, and support through the state testing process to help you become a licensed CNA in Washington State. Next Class Begins: April 2 Location: Alderwood Park Health & Rehabilitation (2726 Alderwood Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225) What You’ll Learn During the program, you will learn how to: Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and mobility Support residents during meals, social activities, and appointments Monitor resident wellbeing and report any changes in condition Follow individualized care plans to ensure quality care Create a warm, respectful, and supportive environment for residents Prepare resident rooms and ensure residents are comfortable and safe Work collaboratively with the healthcare team Program Requirements Must pass a background check Must attend registration and 100% of scheduled classes Training must be completed in person Class Schedule Classes are held Monday – Thursday beginning at 8:30 AM. Our team will also assist you with the state testing process and applying for your Washington CNA license. Requirements Must possess a minimum of a 10th-grade education. 18 years old Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Effectively communicate necessary resident information to Charge Nurses, Director of Nursing and/or Administrator. CPR certified preferred but not required
Responsibilities
Trainees will learn to assist residents with daily living activities, support them during social events, and monitor their wellbeing, while ensuring a warm and respectful environment is maintained. Responsibilities also include following individualized care plans and working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
