SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Poultry Worker to join our team at Elliott Eggs Ltd. This role is essential in ensuring the care and management of our poultry, contributing directly to the quality of our egg production. Located near Hornsea in East Yorkshire, this position offers an opportunity to work in a family-oriented environment with a focus on high standards.
You will be required to work alone on Friday, Saturday and Sundays with opportunity for other days to cover holidays as necessary. Full training and support will be given.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous Experience in poultry care or farming essential
  • Ability to operate hand tools and basic machinery safely.
  • Physical strength and stamina for lifting tasks.
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory management.
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to complete training courses to BEIC Lion code standard
  • Basic food hygiene training to be completed if successful.

  • Provide daily care for poultry, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Assist in the collection and grading of eggs for packing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the poultry housing areas.
  • Perform lifting as required during egg collection and packing processes.
  • Monitor feed and water supplies for the poultry.
  • Report any health issues or concerns regarding the birds to management.
