Role: Associate Technical Designer
Apparel / Accessories Brand
2 Week Freelance Assignment
Onsite in Orange County
The temp role reports directly to the Senior designer/ developer and includes supporting the fit comment process from design, updating full tech packs and POMs, measuring and preparing samples for fittings, taking detailed fit notes, generating construction guidelines and clear fit comments to vendors under the direction of the Senior designer.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent attention to detail. The candidate is highly organized and can balance multiple projects at once with strong time management skills. The candidate works efficiently, taking the initiative and giving all to a project no matter how big or small.

Responsibilities:

• Review & measure fit samples and update Tech pack hand off from Design
• Set up measurement charts and grading
• Review factory prototypes with designer and clearly communicate fit, construction and tech pack updates to factories and ensure proper execution.
• Manage all aspects of fittings, construction, and technical issues
• Ensure that the development process meets projects’ key phase approval dates and milestones.

Qualifications:

• Must be Self-starter, team player, strong follow up skills, and sense of urgency
• Must have strong knowledge of construction, fit and workman ship details
• 5 years of technical design
• Extensive knowledge of soft goods construction
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator required
• Ability to work well under pressure, to anticipate and troubleshoot issues of consequence to quality and delivery with ease
