Description

We are a small but busy accountancy practice looking for an experienced and reliable Freelance Bookkeeper to join our team on a subcontract basis. This flexible role is ideal for someone seeking around 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase hours as needed.

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced bookkeeper who can hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years’ bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Xero (certification desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in preparing VAT and CIS returns.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage their own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Payroll experience is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records for a variety of clients.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Completing CIS returns.
  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero.
  • Assisting with payroll (desirable but not essential).
