the job: amika is looking for a culturally plugged-in, digitally fluent Copy + Editorial Associate to join our growing Creative team. you’re someone who screenshots great taglines, rewrites emails in your head, knows when less is more + understands the difference between content people scroll past + content people feel. you’ll shape how we show up across email, site, blog, paid media, social + much more—-bringing the amika voice to life in ways that feel confident, clear + unmistakably us. love beauty? chronically online? scroll through your email inbox for inspo? you'll be a great fit. this role is ideal for someone with strong editorial instincts who knows what's already out there + what's up next. you’ll report into the Copy + Editorial Manager + lead messaging for our digital channels, collaborating closely with designers + cross-functional partners across E-Commerce, Brand Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Product Marketing + Pro. salary: $50-60 per hour location: must be based in NY + have the right to work in the US. must be willing to work on-site in BK 2-3 days per week. what you'll do: write conversion-driving, on-brand copy across all digital touchpoints including email, SMS, homepage, landing pages, paid media, product detail pages + site content help shape customer journeys + launch storytelling across owned channels partner with E-Commerce + Digital Marketing teams to develop thoughtful, performance-minded copy that balances creativity with conversion support campaign messaging development + help translate larger brand concepts into channel-specific executions own our blog, the strand, parnering with the Social + Consumer Engagement teams to identify content opportunities for multi-platform storytelling name products + develop product storytelling that clearly communicates benefits, clinically backed claims + points of differentiation while maintaining brand voice support copy needs for influencer mailers, PR moments, retail storytelling, education materials, events + ad hoc brand initiatives assist with A/B testing + optimization efforts to strengthen engagement + performance across channels proofread, fact-check + maintain consistency across all copy deliverables contribute to the ongoing evolution of amika’s voice, messaging frameworks + copy best practices stay tapped into trends across beauty, fashion, culture, digital marketing + social to bring innovative thinking + relevant storytelling opportunities to the brand who you are: a strong writer with sharp instincts + a distinct point of view deeply online in the best way—culturally aware + inspired by great branding, storytelling + social content able to adapt your writing style depending on channel, audience + objective collaborative, proactive + comfortable working in a fast-moving environment detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger creative picture passionate about beauty, haircare, branding + storytelling excited by both conceptual thinking and executional excellence must haves: 2–4 years of copywriting, editorial, or brand writing experience (beauty, fashion, or lifestyle experience preferred) a portfolio or links to past writing showcasing brand storytelling + channel writing experience writing for social, digital marketing, email + e-commerce understanding of performance-minded copywriting + channel best practices ability to manage multiple projects + shifting priorities simultaneously ready to apply? please click the link below that will bring you to our careers page where you can submit your application + resume (cover letter optional). a member of our team will be in touch soon!
