WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Freelance English Teachers Western Berlin 2025/26 (m/f/d)
Do you have experience with English teaching, or teaching in Kindergarten/ Elementary schools? What are you waiting for? We need you!
We are expanding our dynamic, international team and need English Teachers (m/f/d) to work at kitas and elementary schools across Berlin.

JOB FOCUS:

We are currently looking for professional freelancers to join our pool of passionate English Teachers for long-term work assignments in the 2025/26 school year. We would like to get to know you and your deployment preferences!

THESE ARE OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Very fluent English speaker (minimum C1 or above) with an accent that is easily understood by young learners.
  • 1-3 years of experience teaching English to children as a foreign language OR 3-5 years of working with young children in an educational setting.
  • A TEFL, TESOL or CELTA qualification, or a degree that can be related to this role, may be beneficial.
  • Freelance visa or unrestricted work access (i.e. the ability to work as a freelancer) in Germany.
  • A registered address in Berlin.
  • Preferably available to work 3 afternoons a week.
  • Commitment to a regular teaching schedule for the entire school year (September 2025 to July 2026) - no lessons are conducted during the Berlin school holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of German (A2).
** We will be unable to interview those who do not already have a valid working permit. If you are waiting to have your appointment for your permit, please let us know when it is scheduled for. Visas with the words “selbständige Tätigkeit nicht erlaubt” unfortunately do not allow the holder to work as a freelancer.

The interaction with our class participants and the quality of our lessons are very important to us. That’s why we want to use our recruiting process to ensure that you’re equally as excited and responsible when it comes to teaching and engaging with children as we are. However, the interview isn’t just about us getting to know you, but a chance for you to make sure we’re the right fit for you too! Curious about the hiring process? Here’s how it works:

  • Send us your resume, your work permit if not an EU citizen, and a short letter so we can get to know you
  • A real person will read each and every application - we promise!
  • We’ll send you an email to let you know if we’d like to invite you to a video interview.
  • After signing up, you’ll get further information and instructions on what to prepare.
  • Take part in a engaging interview where you can show off your skills!
  • Following the interview, if we feel you’d be a strong candidate to join our pool of available freelance teachers, you’ll be invited to take part in a group practical interview at our office in Berlin.
  • If we decide to work together, in-person training will be scheduled!

We are looking for energetic, talented, motivated and creative individuals. Feel like this is the adventure you were looking for? Have any questions? We look forward to hearing from you.
