JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Freelance Event Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute a range of events on a project-by-project basis. As a freelance professional, you will work closely with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver seamless and memorable events that meet the desired objectives—whether they are corporate gatherings, private celebrations, product launches, or public experiences. Experience working in event catering is a necessity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as an Event Manager within a catering company.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfortable working independently and on flexible schedules
  • Proficiency with project management tools, spreadsheets, and event software
  • Familiarity with event permits, safety regulations, and insurance (if applicable)

Responsibilities
  • Meet with clients to understand their event goals, budgets, and timelines
  • Create detailed event proposals, timelines, and run-of-show schedules
  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning including venue selection, catering, décor, entertainment, logistics, and staffing
  • Source and manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure deliverables
  • Manage event marketing and promotion in collaboration with clients or marketing teams
  • Supervise on-site event execution, setup, and breakdown
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise before or during events
  • Manage event budgets and ensure financial accountability
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide feedback for improvement
