POSITION OVERVIEW

Cheekbone Beauty is looking for a talented and experienced Freelance Graphic Designer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and specialized focus on box packaging design. This is a remote, project-based contract role ideal for a seasoned designer who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments and can bring our brand to life through thoughtful, eco-conscious packaging solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in box/package design - portfolio showcasing this work is required.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of print production processes, materials, dyelines, and structural packaging.
• Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly packaging design is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently with excellent communication and time-management skills.
• A passion for inclusive, purpose-driven beauty and sustainability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with beauty, skincare, or personal care brands.
• Familiarity with Indigenous values and cultures is a plus.
• Experience working remotely with cross-functional creative teams.

• Collaborate with the Creative Director and Product Development team to conceptualize and design high-impact packaging (primarily box designs) for new and existing products.
• Create dyelines, mockups, and final production-ready artwork in accordance with printer specifications and sustainability requirements.
• Ensure consistency with brand identity, visual language, and sustainability values.
• Revise designs based on stakeholder feedback and manage multiple iterations with efficiency.
• Work closely with packaging suppliers and printers to ensure print accuracy and quality.
• Stay current on packaging trends, sustainable materials, and industry innovations.
