As our training portfolio continues to grow, we’re looking for a skilled and creative freelance Instructional Designer to support the development of high-impact digital learning content. You will play a key role in shaping the learner experience across our suite of online courses.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience designing high-quality eLearning using Articulate Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline
• Strong working knowledge of Synthesia or similar AI video creation tools
• Proficiency in using Canva to create clean, branded, and accessible visual assets
• Solid understanding of adult learning principles and digital instructional design
• Ability to structure learning into clear, modular and engaging formats
• High attention to detail, with a focus on visual consistency and learner experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in remote team settings
• Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently

ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re seeking an experienced Instructional Designer with a strong command of Articulate Rise 360 and Synthesia to create modern, interactive and visually engaging training courses. While in-depth technical knowledge of public safety isn’t essential, the ideal candidate will feel confident working with topics related to Public Safety, Event Security and Crowd Management.
You will work closely with our Training Team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to convert course content into structured, learner-friendly online formats, aligned with our learning objectives and brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, storyboard and build engaging eLearning content using Articulate Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline
• Create and edit AI-driven video content using Synthesia, aligned with course goals and tone
• Use Canva to create supporting visual assets such as infographics, presentation slides, and course branding materials
• Translate complex operational and safety topics into clear, digestible learning experiences
• Collaborate with SMEs to define learning outcomes and ensure content accuracy
• Maintain consistency in tone, branding, and instructional style across all modules
• Revise and refine content based on learner feedback and team review
• Test functionality of Rise 360 and Storyline content on the LMS, incorporate feedback to enhance the learner experience and ensure alignment with accessibility standards
