OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role requires a strong background in computer networking, technical support, and troubleshooting across various operating systems. The Network Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining our IT infrastructure while providing exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in network administration with a strong understanding of computer networking principles.
  • Proficiency in technical support roles with skills in desktop support and IT support.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Experience with network hardware such as Meraki devices, firewalls, and switches.
  • Knowledge of protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and SCCM for system management.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and provide customer service to users at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage network solutions including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.
  • Provide technical support for network-related issues, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Monitor network performance and security using tools such as firewalls and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • Utilize BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira for tracking incidents and service requests.
  • Conduct regular analysis of network traffic to identify potential issues or improvements.
  • Support desktop environments by providing help desk assistance for end-users on various devices including mobile devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IT infrastructure and implement best practices.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
