OVERVIEW

HIH71 is a one-to-one tutoring company, with a focus on igniting curiosity, fostering confidence and nurturing academic growth. Freelance Tutors are expected to teach within their own area of expertise. We cater for students of all ages and lessons are personalised, according to student need.
Our goal is to help young people to gain the skills, confidence and connections necessary to realise their full potential and to go on to participate in strong and inclusive communities. Our tutors are expected to support and nurture their students in line with the UK and GCC curricula.
At present, we are specifically looking for English, maths and science tutors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Teaching degree or relevant qualification.
• Minimum of two years teaching experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of using online learning platforms.
  Job Types: Freelance, Zero hours contract
  Pay: From £20.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week

ROLE

• Teach one-to-one targeted lessons online.
• Align lessons with British, American and GCC curriculum content.
• Create and teach one-hour lessons that plug gaps in knowledge and lead to strong progress in learning.
• Provide regular feedback on progress to parents.
• Effectively communicate with line managers and HIH71 Team.

ONLINE TUTOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in your field of expertise.
• Identify student strengths and areas for development and plan lessons accordingly.
• Engage and motivate students through positive learning experiences.
• Plan and deliver coherent and personalised lessons.
• Use data and assessment to inform all stages of learning.
• Provide purposeful and constructive feedback.
• Manage teaching and learning resources.
• Uphold professional responsibilities and values.
• Show strong organisational skills.
• Ensure effective communication with parents to update them on student progress.
