The opportunity We’re seeking a Freelance PR & Influencer Account Manager / Senior Account Manager to join our team in Sydney on an initial 8-week contract. In this role, you’ll lead earned-first PR and influencer campaigns that drive cultural relevance and results. You’ll manage day-to-day client relationships, oversee press office activity, and craft compelling stories that resonate across media and social platforms. A strategic, creative thinker, you’ll guide PR planning, influencer programs, and ambassador initiatives while mentoring junior team members. Collaborating closely with the Social team and the wider M&C Saatchi Group, you’ll champion integrated, culture-shaping work and bring expertise in media relations, narrative building, and influencer ecosystems to deliver best-in-class campaign execution. A snapshot of what you'll do Execute strategic earned and Influencer campaign plans for projects and annual programs. Implement a media relations program, ensuring strong knowledge, contacts, and awareness of the changing media landscape. Participate in the creative ideation process and develop creative PR/Influencer tactics. Partner to our clients, providing reliable & timely updates and counsel on media outreach and Influencer management. Foster strong relationships with media with regular face-to-face catch-ups and attending relevant networking events. Proactively communicate any changing elements of campaigns, providing counsel and problem-solving. Oversee the junior team to implement specific PR and Influencer strategies in response to client objectives, issues, or briefs. Manage client finances and scopes for both projects and retained work, closely with the PR & Comms Account Director. Plus much more! Your ideal skills & experience 3–4 years’ experience in PR and Influencer marketing, with strong knowledge of communication principles and media relations. Deep understanding of how influencer and social strategies integrate with PR to drive reach, engagement, and cultural relevance. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with attention to detail and strong time management. Quick thinker and effective problem solver with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Financially literate with solid understanding of industry trends, news, and their impact on clients and campaigns. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and social/digital platforms, with an active network of media contacts.
